Devoxx Uk 2023

I’m in a lucky position that my employer supports learning and attending events outside of work, this year I have been able to attend Devoxx and QCon. I know that this isn’t a given in most places that make you work till you drop, but it’s important that developers get out into the wider community to come back with new ideas, or even to recharge and get their muse back, giving them a new sense of passion for the job. Which after multiple hard sprints can be worn down easily.

I’m not going to go over all the things that were there, and the talks as that’s on their site and many have covered that for the medium articles which end up being their own speakers and just want you to visit their sites. But I had a great time.

I had a great time, as I enjoy travelling into London, I wouldn’t want to commute every day, but every now and then it’s rather enjoyable. Also while I was there I managed to get plenty of swag which included the best thing ever. It was Red Hat Red Fedora, say that five times fast, bet you can’t.

But I recommend this convention or conference, not sure what it is or if there is a difference between the two. Go and check out Devoxx remember to order tickets early for early bird prices and group purchases. I’m hoping to go again in 2024.
